Warranty
A keepsake should outlive the moment.
A card you hand to someone you love is not a gadget with a two-year replacement cycle. It is meant to sit in a drawer, be found again on an anniversary, and still work. If it does not, that is our problem to fix — not yours.
What each edition is covered for
Classic — 6 months from delivery against manufacturing defects.
Metal — a lifetime NFC chip warranty, plus 6 months from delivery against other manufacturing defects.
Bespoke — the same cover as Metal.
What we mean by “lifetime”
We would rather be precise than generous-sounding and vague. The lifetime chip warranty means: for as long as Beloven is trading, if the NFC chip in your Metal or Bespoke card stops responding through no fault of your own, we will replace the card at no charge. It covers the chip and the card it sits in. It belongs to the original purchaser and the order it was bought under, and it is not transferable if the card is sold on. It does not cover accidental damage, and it is not a promise to redesign or re-personalise your story for free.
Two more things we would rather say up front than leave you to discover. If we ever cannot supply a replacement — because an edition has been retired, say — we will refund what you paid instead. And if we ever pause trading for a while, the warranty does not evaporate; it picks up again when we do.
What counts as a manufacturing defect
An NFC chip that does not respond to a tap out of the box or fails on its own; layers separating or lifting; printing that is misaligned, smudged, missing or fading abnormally; edges or finishes that were not properly cut or sealed. In short: anything that was wrong when it left us, or that failed because of how it was made.
What is not covered
Physical damage, bending, cracking or scratching after delivery. Water, heat or chemical damage. Ordinary wear from years of handling. Loss or theft. Damage caused by trying to write to, re-program or overwrite the chip with another device. And, honestly, a change of heart — a spelling choice or photograph you approved at preview is not a defect, though if you have made a genuine mistake, ask us anyway and we will see what we can do.
How to claim
If the card arrived faulty, tell us within 7 days of delivery. For anything that fails later — including a chip covered by the lifetime warranty — just tell us as soon as you find it. We will not turn down a claim inside the warranty period on the argument that you should have noticed sooner; an NFC chip can fail intermittently long before anyone realises. Prompt notice simply helps us investigate.
Write to us at team@beloven.store or message us on WhatsApp with your order ID, a short description of what is wrong, and photographs or a short video of the card. Every way to reach us is on the contact page.
What happens next
We will ask a couple of questions to rule out the simple things — some older phones need NFC switched on in settings — and if it is a defect we will repair or replace the card, whichever is quicker. There is no cost to you, including return shipping. Your story and its address are unaffected: a replacement card is programmed to the same permanent address, so nothing you wrote is lost.
Transit damage and lost parcels
Damage in transit and parcels that never arrive are covered separately and just as fully — report within 7 days of delivery or of the expected delivery date. See shipping & delivery and cancellation & refunds.
Your statutory rights
This warranty is in addition to, and does not take away from, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If you are unhappy with how a claim was handled, you can escalate through our grievance redressal process.
